I'm about 3000 words behind, but figure I'll make it up in the next couple of weeks once I get resettled in my routine. I did finish the first in a series of Spooks fics, but don't want to take time to edit and post it until I catch up my word count. And sadly con reports don't count.

Anyone up for a quick beta? For grammar and stuff, you don't have to watch Spooks.

Still about 1000 words behind but I have consistently written each night this week. I'll catch up eventually :) Still working on first part of planned four part Spooks fic. But now I am going to crash.

Chipping away at finishing this past year's nano novel.

I should be at about 1791 right now, but had a bit of a slow start to the year. It's all good though, as there are only five more work days and I am on vacation :) Plus there is writer's group tomorrow nite and that will help to motivate me.

After loafing for most of last week after winning nano, I decided to make it my goal to write 500 words a day in December. I started off the month in grand style, by goofing off online instead of writing, and attaining a whopping word count of 0. Tonite I said I would write 1000 to make up for yest, and ended up with 508. I'll take it.

Anyone know where I can get a non-nano word count widget thingie?

I was fairly productive otherwise in using the last of the turkey parts to make soup, that I think we will be eating till after Christmas. Also made chocolate pudding to use up all the leftover whipped cream. Did my laundry which is all hanging to dry in tehJerry's room, since the living room is taken up with the board I have my first official (as in potentially wearable) sewing project laid out upon. TehJerry won't be back till Sat nite anyway. If I start a sewing project every time he goes on vacation, I might have an entire wardrobe by the end of next year.
Lookie what I got today! )

and the obligatory widget paste:

Nano will not let me update my word count yet and as a result am still widget less, but it's midnite and so I present the word count for day 1:

Still writing, but it's currently day 2, aka the Day Which Will Have 25 Hours. w00t!

After leaving the write in I walked through the park and went to a showing of french short and animated films mostly from the 1920's. It was a fun break. Also am almost finished with my book club book between the two train rides.

Now I need to figure out where the heck Greene St is so I can find the write in tomorrow. And finish watching the season finale of Primeval.

1044 words, on a Robin Hood crackfic which is seriously all RA' s fault.

Shall have to finish it tomorrow, as it's midnite and I need to finish this Irish mystery that [ profile] whatthefaith sent me, so I can make a valiant effort at my book club book over the weekend. The book (irish one tho book club book is pretty good so far too) is very good, the only problem is I've been listening to "Darcy's Donkey" from the new Gaelic Storm album a bit too much, and every time I see the words 'garda' and 'Donegal' I start to giggle.

1117 words :)
Filling in some of the first gaping holes of plot.

So, after a couple of false starts, my plan to find an outside venue for writing today met with success. I got my shopping done at Target, then realized I forgot chuck's powercord. D'oh. So stopped in Circuit City and bought a new one. Good to have a spare anyway. Also got some cool headphones on sale - with skulls on them. Went into Starbucks and found only one outlet, and all the tables near it were full. and Chuck was totally deded. But by the time I finished my sandwich, they got up and left, and voila, table, power for chuck and two hours of writing for me. And two trips to oma thanks to venti shaken iced tea...

Words on nano novel while sitting in coffee shop all afternoon:1120. Far cry from my nano month 4k's, but better than I've done in quite a while.

Cappuccino muffins consumed: 1.

Berry smoothies consumed: 1.

Cups of coffee consumed: 2.

And now to meet the others for dinner and Prince Caspian (which I also meant to re-read this afternoon, looks like it will be on the train home instead)
