Ok lessee.... first of all I love my new mail program, Thunderbird, once I got it to send and recieve which was a wee bit of a challenge. But I downloaded the theme walnut, which gives me a gekko on the start page! :) Got a new gmail account also, thanks to ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

On the homefront, I get a call from my manager yest AM that she was called by the mortgage company to verify my employment. Yesterday. As opposed to oh, like maybe three MONTHS ago when this process started? :::sigh:: You'd think we were trying to get a mansion in the Hamptons or a townhouse on 5th Ave, not a dinky 2 bedroom in Flushing FCOL.
Dad called dude this AM and told him that not only had we better close thurs if he never gets to sleep all week, but he is to take the price of this month's rent out of his broker fee, as we shouldn't have had to pay for another month. Much chastened, he called us and said he would. Now we shall see if we close. I'm not packing anything more till we do.
