sgcgategirl and girrlkitty last nite, and 11 hours of sleep *blushes* I am ready to face the weekend.
About to leave my apartment to go out into the mucho frio weather, first to write in in Manhattan, and then to my monthly ceili in Queens. Going straight, and leaving Jumper 1 by the dance hall. It was a real challenge to find a set of clothes that are warm enough for the outside, and yet cool enough for the steaminess that will be in Cafe 28, and also comfortable for dancing and will still look nice.
Not sure how well I did, but we will see.
There is no free wifi at the write in, so I prob won't get to updating the nano site till tomorrow, but shall twitter my word counts for my nemesi (nemesii? Nemesises?) from my phone.
Right. Need to also find a citibank and duane reade on the way....

I called in sick yesterday, as it's considered bad form for one's nose to drip on one's patients. Made chicken soup and lemon ginger tea and counted the hours till it was respectable to start with the Nyquil. Ten hours of sleep later, much revived, though still a wee bit drippy (TMI, I know) I managed to see six patients today before coming home to nap. I also started reading the book which philippacrawfor gave me, which is very bad in a good way. Bad because the book is so good I don't want to put in down and write. The only thing I want to do more than read it, is watch Spooks. I want another new RA episode NOW.
Ahem.
Managed to put the book aside, and with the encouragement ofsgcgategirl have crossed the 40 yard line. Or something. my attempt to write a football scene in the actual story is even more pathetic, I assure you. Ten thousands words to go, and there might actually be something about to happen! Besides peoples talking and drinking coffee. I think next year's nano novel should be "Scenes from a Starbucks".
And now to shower and read my book, until the Nyquil kicks in!

Have finished the 20's and moved on to the 30's. Tomorrow I plan to reach 35 or higher, but right now am wiped. Still not half bad for a work day, a two hour complicated admission, and icky pouring rain and flooding. The write in really helped, even though it was only two of us. A really nice little cafe. I need to explore my own borough more! I think I have already staked out my post nano writing zone - want to keep up at least one 'write in' outside the house a week.

It's 2:30 in the morning but I was determined to make it to 25k, and I did it :) I am so going to sleep the entire month of December.
Ork has been crazy but I am off tomorrow, have to do chores and take Jumper One in for his second round of maintenance. Then a concert and dinner with fellowship group, so now I can coast a day if need be!
Hopefully the people that are supposed to be fixing our boiler ( we have no heat, not that we notice it that much b/c this apt is always an oven. Yeah, it's SO cold, we... closed the windows!) will not show up and the crack of dawn, and want to come in to reset the radiators or anything...

Had book club friday nite, brought home way too many desserts, and was too sleepy to start writing, so wrote nothing.
sat went hiking with a couple friends up in Harriman State park even though the weather wasn't perfect. still it was a nice hike. "A grand soft day," as my friend put it. We had dinner in a diner and then i came back and managed to write till almost midnite, which I then broke for a some quality Richard time - eps 3 and 4 of Spooks. After much swoonage, especially when he said the word 'you' (I can't help it, I'm shallow), it was time for bed.
Today write in which was fairly productive, and church. Finishing cleaning up the tivo now, as I have passed 20 k and figure I can cruise the rest of the night.
Once I am finished laughing at the tribbles on Sanctuary, I will shower and read a bit till bed.

Plot ninja that is. His name is Bob. He is wee small and I can't get my camera to focus on him properly to take a picture, so you'll have to take my word for it.
This is the first Halloween I am home in the evening since I moved into this apt. No trick or treaters have materialized, which leaves a full bowl of candy for my brother and myself. i'm predicting an awesome sugar high come midnite. Add that to the Aleve and Zyrtec taken for various other issues, and the pot of coffee I'm getting ready to brew...
I hope I wake up in time for tomorrow's write in.

I am going through withdrawal. I'm watching Lantis and a commercial comes and I think "I should sprint!"
Am going too export file to Allan, and leave it alone until January when we begin hauling in the wheelbarrows full of asphalt for filling in the Grand Canyon of Plot.
and tomorrow I am going to party my little heart out at the TGIO. after getting through choir rehearsal, gear clinic and another brief appearance at a party. and the bonus? I don't have to haul Chuck everywhere anymore!! I can carry a BOOK!! wooo hooo!
Right. Time to faceplant.

Had a lovely time yesterday, with my family, and friends Anna and amanda_is_wacky and her friend James (who is possibly traumatized for life after enduring my father's American Football tutorial). Manda brought me Bounty :D
Mom: "How did you know she likes that?"
Manda: "EVERYONE knows that!"

Yummy leftovers for dinner are hitting the spot, esp as after twelve patients today I need to save my energy for some nano. Broke 38 last nite, and may i just say I never ever thought I would say the words "only" and "2000 words" in the same sentence! Tonite we MUST clear 40 at the very least.
And for the record, I am totally nuts, bonzo, mad, insane, WACKO. I signed up for a triathlon to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Which means,audrich, I will have to follow up on your brilliant idea another year. This years holiday cards will be in the form of support letter. I'll try to make them nice and sparkly to disguise the shameless plea for money!
