So today I get up bright and early, rush thru the visits I have left after giving three patients away to a float b/c I've got this BIG case conference this afternoon.
About 12 I get a phone call from my manager - the conference was cancelled. Go figure. So I call the social worker who also rearranged herlife schedule around this meeting and she was as thrilled as I am that we will have to go through this all over again sometime in the near future.
Now I'm home early, negotiating with my tablet to let me finish a note w/o it shutting down for no apparently reason. (So far score is Steph 3, Comp 2). It seems those threats to be thrown out the window are not taken as seriously when one lives on the first floor.
Also my traveling partner Janie pointed out that weekend work = more money for beer and chocolate in Europe next month.
