Back safe and sound from a beautiful weekend in Maine, marred only by the fact that the Mets lost both Fri and Saturday nite. (Tho I did get to see BSG as well)
The leaves were colorful, the sky was bright blue. We ate, walked 5 miles, ate, went up to my most favorite-ist store in the world (aside from Target. And Amazon, but you can't *go* to Amazon.)
And then we ate :)
Points resume tomorrow.
Before we went up to LL Bean, we stopped to visit Lenny the Chocolate Moose. He's made from 1700 pounds of chocolate, and he looks a bit stern, so to appease him we were forced to buy some chocolates...

Fortified w/ crispy bark and dark chocolate covered espresso beans, we forged north to The Store. Here is the giant Bean Boot at the main entrance.

On the ground floor there is a real fish pond and a man was demonstrating fly fishing.

I managed to escape buying only a pair of clogs and a pound of wild blueberry flavored coffee, aided by the knowledge that everything I bought would have to be carried home on the train.
I did managed to get a couple notebook pages of mythfic written, but for the most part on both train rides I was engrossed in watching the water and trees the train was passing, as well as reading pretty much an entire book, the 4th in a series I recced awhile back just a couple chapters left, which I am off to read while I watch the end of the game.
*waves tothe journal lurker Janie*
Thanks for a great weekend and talk to ya soon!
