The Good:

1. Have decided to do the No Clothes for a Year thing, starting in January which gives me plenty time to research and plan.

2. Finished a fic ON TIME. Yeah, I know!! Have joined [livejournal.com profile] ficfrenzy in hopes of finishing more.

The Bad:

Evil evil Ork mainframe discovered Chippy the flash drive and disabled his driver.
The really really bad thing is Friday I got a taste of what it's like to have a laptop to write on and now I really really really really want one. *sigh* Now I'm going to sit in the coffee shop between dance classes tonite with my book, wishing I had a lappy...

But on the bright side, its a gorgeous day if you ignore the pollen *sneezes*, finished Ork early, and will dance dance dance all nite and all day Sat :)
And did I mention I finished a fic?

Yeah! It's exciting to hear that you'll do the "no clothes thing"

It's a wild journey, to be sure.

lemme know how it goes, okay?

I am seriously considering a router to go with my lappy. Then I can lappy in bed. I can lappy on the front porch. I love my lappy.

And the clothes thing? Okay. But if you really wanted to sacrifice for the down-trodden, you'd give up coffee for a year. After you've picked yourself up off the floor, read on...

Think of those poor barefoot peasants picking coffee beans by hand down in Columbia. AND think of those poor over-loaded, overworked, under fed burros that haul those coffee beans down off those steep steep mountains. Makes me want to cry just thinking about it. :::::snifffff:::::::

Well, [livejournal.com profile] arrenall has a valid point here ;)
Anyway, I found some links for you:
International Fair Trade Association - www.ifat.org
World Fair Trade Day (I know, it was last week, but the site is good) - www.wftday.org
Hope that helps...

Cool, ty :) Now which one is most likely to have Bono make me a personal visit?

I'm afraid you would have to lobby against G8 for that...

And I was all ready to start on July 1....well, at least that gives us 6 months to prepare!

lol - I got rid of too many things after losing weight so i need at least a base fall/winter wardrobe. But now I will be very conscious of what i buy to make sure it will last two years! Also I want to research to see what organizations I should give the clothing money too. Maybe one where Bono will pay me a personal visit?

Read this again:
1. Have decided to do the No Clothes for a Year thing, starting in January which gives me plenty time to research and plan.

So this means NO CLOTHES FOR A YEAR. Your research and planning will no doubt include courses in Ducking Behind Buildings, Riding the Bus without Picking up Diseases, Arriving Late At Church and Sitting in the Last Pew (and being first to leave) with a minor in How to Stand for Songs without exposing yourself. Of course your company will have to put you on the night shift and ONLY send you out to see the Blind and Legally Blind unless they sign a waiver absolving you of any blame if they have a heart attack (or if they go blind). Of course, this should do WONDERS for your sagging (uh, sorry) Dating Life. Boy, I should say you have a LOT of work to do before January.
