I played hooky from swim practice tonite, but in my defense I did get out on the bike while my corned beef and cabbage were cooking. (yes, in the same pot) (and potatoes and carrots) (also saved some stock for future cookings). Did about 12 miles, including to and from park. Then munched out on very bad for you foods, and watched "Waking Ned Devine". Love that movie :) Am trying to convince TehJerry to join the Emerald Society and take up bagpipes, in surefire plan to have CreepyGuy upstairs move out posthaste. Apparently my whistle is just not doing the trick.
As for writing: was very excited last nite to learn my church has a new literary magazine that is taking submissions! So in my zest I went to![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
creativewriterand wrote down all the freewrite prompts, in hopes of churning something out, and then wrote... fanfic. *headdesk* Fic is almost finished, but am v. tired tonite so this post is all I shall write.
And today am extremely excited to learn that Richard Armitage will be on Spooks! (aka MI5 over here, which I just recently as of last week got re-hooked on. Is re-hooked a word?)
An amusing quote: Richard said: "Joining Spooks is a fantastic opportunity and I'm particularly pleased to be playing the hero for a change! Lucas North is certainly a nicer piece of work than Guy of Gisborne, although he does have a dark side too. Plus I'll be able to get out of wearing head-to-toe leather for this role, unless of course I didn't read the small print..."
