Had an incredibly busy (in a good way) weekend:
Friday: got out on my bike for a couple hours after work - my first ride since the tri :) Then off to a b-day party for one of my friends who is from Poland but I met Irish dancing (yes, confuses the heck out of my dad too), Another friend and I left the party early at 12:30, got to bed about 2.
Sat: had choir rehearsal from 10 -12, then spent afternoon writing in a coffee shop (see previous post), then had dinner with some friends then off to
I loved it, and now I also really want to go to New Zealand. I thought they got all the scenery perfect, as well as the characters. Caspian was very hot, tho disturbingly about twelve. *le sigh* He was like a young Keanu Reeves, with an accent, and acting ability *g* I also adored the shippy bits with him and Susan.
Reepicheep totally stole the show!
Sunday: sang at am service, had coffee and muffins with a friend then met my riders to drive to NJ. We had our spring/summer picnic and ceili which was loads of fun, and one of the girls I met fri at the birthday party, who is from Turkey, came and had a blast too (I think). Coming home I was trying desperately to avoid traffic, and ended up giving everyone the grand tour of Westchester, the Bronx, and Queens.
Today was brutal. After Ork I meant to go into Manhattan to run with a new group. Ended up crashing instead. I did go running (ok half walking) after I got up tho.
And now to shower and start my book club book for next monday, which i officially have less than a week to read. Ack then my next book club is the following fri and I've not started that either. I'd best get reading!
