Ok so this morning I'm on a roll - gym nice and early (after those almost 12 hours of total sleep yest, no excuse...), leave there all showered and uniformed and ready to go to office for what is sure to be an interesting and informative staff meeting. (snerk)
I'm crossing the street to get to my car (legally if anyone's wondering. was parked legally too), my heel goes down into a pothole, and I go flying across the crosswalk (see - crosswalk!) Pete Rose, eat your heart out.
Of course I'm wearing uniform shorts, so now I have scraped up knee bleeding nicely as I've been taking steroids last week (no change in batting average so far), gravely and scraped shin and another cut on my ankle - not sure how I managed that one.... I'm talented.
But hey - I'm going to a meeting at my office, right? So no worries. Jump in car, slap 4x4 over knee and drive off. I limp into office, and what do ya know - the dude from Smith and Nephew wound products is there w/ samples of all the new things on our formulary and just *itching* to tell me all about them.
So I whip off the bloody 4x4 and say "What have you got for this?"
Exit office 3 hours later w/ bag of goodies and Alleyvne Thin Foam on knee, which is supposed to last up till 7 days. Hmmmmm. :::peers dubiously at soaked bandage peeling off knee:::: well 7 hours at least...
Oh, and the meeting was about Medicare prescription benefits. Commence yawning.
